Post jobs. Your crew claims them.

A dispatch board your crew can claim jobs from

The KrewDash dispatch board is where unassigned jobs live. You post a job, your crew sees it on their phones, and whoever wants it claims it. You approve the claim or decline it. You can also assign a job straight to one person, or take it yourself. Nothing lives in a group text or a spreadsheet, and the board updates live.

What you can do

How it works

  1. 1You create a job with the customer, service, address, date and estimated hours.
  2. 2You post it to the board. Every active crew member sees it in the crew portal on their phone.
  3. 3A crew member taps to claim it. The claim comes to you for approval.
  4. 4You approve or decline. On approval the job becomes theirs and lands on their schedule and the shared calendar.
  5. 5Prefer to choose the person yourself? Assign the job directly, take it yourself, or save it as a lead to assign later with no notifications sent.
  6. 6The board updates live, so nobody has to refresh or ask whether a job is still open.

Who it is for

Window cleaning owners with two or more people doing jobs, especially crews made up of independent contractors who choose their own work. If you currently offer jobs by group text, this replaces it.

What it does not do yet

The board does not automatically route jobs by distance or skill. You or the crew decide who takes a job, and every claim needs your approval. Ask for it.

What it looks like in practice

Illustrations of the workflow for a window cleaning company, not customer stories.

Example: a busy Thursday

Three same-day requests come in by noon. You post all three to the board. Two technicians claim one each within minutes, and you approve them. The third sits unclaimed, so the dashboard flags it as waiting on you, and you assign it to the tech with the lightest afternoon.

Example: a slow week

You have open days on the calendar. Instead of texting the crew one by one, you post the jobs you have and let whoever wants extra work claim them. You stay in control because every claim needs your approval.

Questions about dispatch board

How does a crew member claim a job?

They open the crew portal on their phone, see the jobs posted to the board, and tap to claim one. The claim comes to you for approval.

Can I skip the board and assign a job directly?

Yes. You can assign a job to a specific person, assign it to yourself, or save it as a lead to assign later.

Does the board update without refreshing?

Yes. The board is live, so a new post or a new claim shows up as it happens.

Does the crew need to install an app?

They use the crew portal in their phone's browser, and it can be added to the home screen. They get a text link to set up their profile.

Can I stop one person from claiming everything?

Every claim needs your approval, so you decide who gets each job.

What if a job is not claimed?

It stays on the board and on your dashboard as waiting on you. You can assign it to someone directly at any time.
