Window cleaning CRM
A window cleaning CRM is software that keeps a window cleaning company's customers, leads, jobs, schedule and crew pay in one place. The better ones also handle door-to-door canvassing, recurring plans and commissions. Window cleaning CRM guide.
Door-to-door canvassing
Door-to-door canvassing is selling by knocking on homes, usually in a chosen neighborhood, to book cleaning jobs on the spot. Reps log each door so the team knows which were answered, quoted or booked. Canvassing map.
Territory
A territory is an area of a map assigned to one sales rep so reps do not knock the same doors. A good system lets the owner draw a territory, say whose it is and reshape it later. Canvassing map.
Callback
A callback is a door where the homeowner said to come back later. Logging it as a scheduled callback means the rep returns at the right time instead of forgetting. Canvassing map.
Close rate
Close rate is the share of real conversations that end in a booked job. Measured against conversations rather than doors knocked, it shows how well a rep sells rather than how many doors they hit. Reports.
Recurring service plan
A recurring service plan is an agreement to clean a customer's windows or exterior on a repeating schedule for a set price, such as a few visits a year. It turns a one-off job into predictable, repeat revenue. Service plans.
Subcontractor (1099)
A subcontractor is an independent contractor paid per job rather than an employee on payroll. In the United States, businesses generally report payments to contractors on Form 1099 once they cross the IRS threshold. Check classification and reporting with an accountant. Crew portal and payouts.
Commission ledger
A commission ledger is the running record of what each rep and technician has earned on each job, what has been sent and what is still owed. It replaces end-of-week math on a spreadsheet. Commissions.
Commission ladder
A commission ladder raises a rep's commission rate as they book more jobs in a period, for example after a set number of bookings in a week. It rewards volume and is usually applied going forward rather than to past jobs. Commissions.
Split job
A split job is a sale credited to two reps, who share the commission between them. It is common when one rep opens the door and another closes the sale. Commissions.
Lead pipeline
A lead pipeline is a board of every prospect who has not yet booked, sorted into stages such as new, contacted, follow up and quoted. It stops leads from ads, forms and doors from going cold. Lead pipeline.
Missed-call text-back
Missed-call text-back is an automatic text sent to a caller whose call went unanswered, so a missed call does not become a lost job. It is usually limited so the same caller is not texted repeatedly. Calls and text-back.
Dispatch board
A dispatch board is a shared list of unassigned jobs that crew members can claim, with the owner approving each claim. It replaces posting jobs in a group text. Dispatch board.
Billed vs collected
Billed is the value of work you have sold and invoiced; collected is the money that has actually come in. Tracking both shows how much revenue is still outstanding. Reports.
Free/busy calendar
A free/busy calendar shares only whether a person is busy or free, not event details. It lets a scheduling tool avoid booking someone at a busy time without seeing what the appointment is. Shared calendar.
Buffer time
Buffer time is the gap a schedule leaves between jobs for driving and setup. Setting it once keeps the booking page from offering back-to-back slots a crew cannot reach. Shared calendar.
Water-fed pole
A water-fed pole is a telescopic pole that feeds purified water through a brush so windows can be cleaned from the ground, often to upper floors. It is a common tool in exterior window cleaning.
Soft washing
Soft washing cleans siding, roofs and other delicate surfaces with low pressure and cleaning solutions rather than high-pressure water. It is often sold alongside pressure washing.
Pane count
Pane count is the number of individual window panes on a job, the most common way to quote a window cleaning price. Quotes are often built from pane count, stories and access difficulty. How to price window cleaning jobs.
Founding crew
The KrewDash founding crew is the first group of customers who get a say in the roadmap, a direct line to the team and first word on releases. About KrewDash.
